Granoro’s Sugo al Basilico with Spaghetti

This week’s recipe is all about convenience whilst maintaining an authentic flavour. 


The dish is a simple combination of Granoro’s Sugo al Basilico ready-made pasta sauce with their top-quality spaghetti pasta. 


The sauce, made according to tradition and authentic flavours, is produced with fresh tomatoes and vegetables grown in Italy, and is made with extra virgin olive oil. Also noteworthy is the fact that it contains no preservatives and is heat-treated to ensure the integrity of the fresh ingredients used, thereby guaranteeing an intense, fresh flavour.


To prepare, simply pour the contents of the jar into a pan and heat, or add a small amount of the cooking water from the pasta. Then add the cooked pasta to the pan, and toss over the heat to combine. Serve with grated Zanetti Parmigiano Reggiano cheese.


Prepare this dish as a side to a meat main for a delicious lunch or dinner.


  • 2 jars Granoro Sugo Al Basilico Pasta Sauce, 370g
  • 1 pack Granoro Spaghetti Ristorante, 500g
  • Salt and pepper
  • Zanetti Parmigiano Reggiano cheese


  • Cook pasta as per package instru ctions
  • Place a pan on a medium-heat, add the Granoro Sugo al Basilico pasta sauce to the pan, and then a small amount of the pasta water, if desired, stir and allow to heat. 
  • Add cooked pasta to the pan with the sauce, and toss to combine.
  • Once pasta is well-coated, transfer to individual plates, top with pan-fried cherry tomatoes, basil leaves and grated Parmigiano Reggiano cheese.
