Sweet and Sour Pork

Sweet and Sour Pork

Sweet and Sour Pork is a Chinese stir-fry comprised of cubed pork tenderloin, pineapple, spring onion, garlic, bell peppers, and a blend of sauces.

The pork pieces are first marinated in a mixture of rice wine, cornstarch and Naturally Brewed Kikkoman Soy Sauce. The harmonious combination and subtle balance of the five basic flavors of sweet, sour, salty, bitter and umami are what give Kikkoman Soy Sauce its delicious taste – which is why it is one of our key ingredients.

Once marinated, the pork pieces are then battered, deep-fried and tossed in the wok along with the stir-fry ingredients and sweet and sour sauce.

For a hearty meal, the dish can be served tossed through cooked noodles, or served atop steamed white rice.
